While Window Fashions Unlimited is beginning its second decade of serving the New York metropolitan area, George Mahler, its founder/owner, has been designing and installing exquisite custom window treatments for over 40 years.

George spent 25 years as owner/operator of Mahler’s Paint and Wallpaper Co., in New Hyde Park, NY, where he learned the nuts and bolts of the window treatment business becoming expert in coordinating color, texture, pattern, and design. Equally, if not more important, growing up in a family business, he also learned the importance of customer service and putting the customer’s needs and desires at the forefront of all business transactions.

In 1998 George sold the family business and for 10 years went on to become the leading sales associate in the Fortunoff Custom Window Treatment Department. As it became clear that Fortunoff would be closing their stores, George immediately started up his new venture, Window Fashions Unlimited where he seamlessly continued to serve his existing Fortunoff clientele as well as creating new clients through the many referrals received from past satisfied customers.
